Traffic Update for NID's Banner Cascade Pipeline Project Construction

11/1/11
Traffic Update for NID's Banner Cascade Pipeline Project Construction

Final pavement installation on Red Dog Cross Road, Lola's Echo Road, and Oak Ridge Road will be underway Tuesday, 11/1 and Wednesday, 11/2.   Expect delays up to twenty minutes during the paving operation.  One lane of traffic will be available until 8:00AM to facilitate access for getting students to school on time.

Construction at Madrone Forest Drive near the Idaho Maryland Road intersection is scheduled to begin Thursday, November 3, weather permitting.  Raw water pipeline installation on the Overland section will connect to the existing pipeline on Madrone Forest Drive, blocking through traffic on Idaho Maryland Road for up to twenty minutes.  The connection is expected to take two to three days to complete.  Watch for signage and flaggers to safely direct traffic through the construction zone.  Please consider using an alternate route to avoid driving through the construction zone. If traveling east of Madrone Forest Drive on Idaho Maryland Road, residents may use Banner Lava Cap Road and Old Tunnel Road to access Brunswick Road.  If weather conditions postpone installation, then it will be rescheduled for the following week.

Construction on Wings of Morning Drive continues this week.  Work finalizing appurtenances and culverts is underway.  Detours will be set up to direct traffic around construction in order to avoid delays.  Treated water pipeline installation to begin this week on the west end of WOMD after the appurtenances are installed, weather permitting.  WOMD area residents will continue using the Sesame Street detour while the treated water pipeline is installed.

Treated water pipeline installation on Red Gate Road is scheduled to begin the week of November 7.
