Construction on NID’s Banner Cascade Pipeline project continues on Banner Mountain during good weather conditions between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. NID is coordinating vehicle traffic in an effort to help families get to the bus stop and school on time. Therefore, vehicles travelling into town on will have an open lane until 8:00 AM.
Raw water pipeline installation will progress north onto Red Dog Cross Road from Lola’s Echo Road. Residents should expect delays up to 20 minutes during construction activities. Watch for flaggers to safely direct traffic through the construction zone.
Residents should expect delays up to 20 minutes while the raw water pipeline installation on Wings of Morning crosses the intersection of Clipper Creek Road Wednesday, August 31. Detours will be available without delays after construction crosses the Clipper Creek Road intersection. Additionally, the east end detour on Wings of Morning Drive will not be available as construction activities are blocking through use of the road. Sesame Street is open for residential traffic instead. Construction equipment and trucks will continue to enter and exit Wings of Morning Drive from both ends. Turnouts are available along the alignment route allowing for passing residential traffic.
Construction on the Overland section’s creek crossing will continue to create heavier than usual traffic on Red Gate Road, Banner Lava Cap Road, and Old Tunnel Road. Residents should expect minimal delays during construction activities.
