Traffic Update for NID’s Banner Cascade Pipeline Project Construction
Construction on NID’s Banner Cascade Pipeline project continues on Banner Mountain. Joint sealing and testing will be underway inside the pipeline this week on Idaho Maryland Road and Banner Lava Cap Road. Curb installation on Idaho Maryland Road between Lee Lane and Banner Lava Cap Road is expected to begin the week of the 24th, if weather conditions allow. Traffic will be limited to one lane with minimal delays expected for these events. Watch for construction signage and flaggers as they help safely direct traffic through the construction zones.

Banner Cascade Pipeline Project Construction Schedule 1/20/11 to 2/11/11
Join us for an informational construction meeting Tuesday, February 8th at the Horsemen’s Club at 6:30 PM. This meeting is designed to inform the Wings of Morning neighborhood residents of the upcoming construction activities soon starting in their area. Additional meetings for the remaining neighborhoods along the pipeline alignment are being organized and scheduled.
■ Madrone Forest Drive:
· Culvert installation is completed.
· Phase one of restoration, soil stabilization, is completed; the contractor will maintain slopes through the winter. Phase two of restoration, tree and vegetation replanting, will be scheduled for the fall of 2011.
■ Overland between Madrone Forest Drive and the airport:
· Phase one of restoration, soil stabilization, is completed; the contractor will maintain slopes through the winter. Phase two of creek restoration is completed.
■ Airport & Loma Rica Water Treatment Plant:
· Final clean-up along pipeline route is underway.
· Loma Rica Water Treatment Plant structures being constructed.
■ Lee Lane:
· The final lift of pavement and testing of the 48” raw water pipeline will resume in the spring.
· Tie-in to Idaho Maryland Road to be scheduled.
■ Idaho Maryland Road, between Lee Lane and Banner Lava Cap Road:
· Joint sealing and testing of the 48” raw water pipeline will begin. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic; minimal delays are expected.
· Curb installation to begin the week of 1/24 if weather conditions allow; the final lift of pavement will be installed in spring of 2011.
· Installation of the treated water pipeline and the tie-in to Lee Lane is on hold until weather conditions improve.
· Phase one of restoration, soil stabilization, is underway; the contractor will maintain slopes through the winter. Phase two of restoration, tree and vegetation replanting, will be scheduled for the fall of 2011.
