Construction on NID’s Banner Cascade Pipeline project continues on Banner Mountain. Joint sealing and testing will be underway inside the pipeline this week on Idaho Maryland Road and Banner Lava Cap Road; traffic will be limited to one lane with minimal delays expected. Watch for construction signage and flaggers as they help safely direct traffic through the construction zones.

Banner Cascade Pipeline Project Construction Schedule 1/5/11 to 1/28/11
■ Madrone Forest Drive:
· Finalizing culvert installation; no traffic delays are expected.
· Final clean-up is in progress.
· Phase one of restoration, soil stabilization, is completed; the contractor will maintain slopes through the winter. Phase two of restoration, tree and vegetation replanting, will be scheduled for the fall of 2011.
■ Overland between Madrone Forest Drive and the airport:
· Phase one of restoration, soil stabilization, is completed; the contractor will maintain slopes through the winter. Phase two of restoration, vegetation replanting, will be scheduled for January.
■ Airport & Loma Rica Water Treatment Plant:
· Saturday work from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM is possible; no traffic delays are expected.
· Final clean-up along pipeline route is underway.
· Loma Rica Water Treatment Plant structures being constructed.
■ Lee Lane:
· The final lift of pavement and testing of the 48” raw water pipeline will resume in the spring.
· Tie-in to Idaho Maryland Road to be scheduled.
■ Idaho Maryland Road, between Lee Lane and Banner Lava Cap Road:
· Joint sealing and testing of the 48” raw water pipeline will begin. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic; minimal delays are expected.
· Curb installation to be scheduled when weather conditions improve; the final lift of pavement will be installed in spring of 2011.
· Installation of the treated water pipeline is on hold until weather conditions to improve.
· Tie-in to Lee Lane to be scheduled.
