Traffic Update for NID's Banner Cascade Pipeline Project Construction

10/17/11
Traffic Update for NID's Banner Cascade Pipeline Project Construction

Construction on NID's Banner Cascade Pipeline project continues on Banner Mountain during good weather conditions between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.  NID is coordinating vehicle traffic in an effort to help families get to the bus stop and school on time. Therefore, vehicles traveling into town on will have an open lane until 8:00 AM.

Raw water pipeline installation on the Overland section will connect to Madrone Forest Drive near the Idaho Maryland Road intersection on Thursday or Friday this week.  Watch for signage and flaggers to safely direct traffic through the construction zone; expect delays up to twenty minutes.  Please consider using an alternate route to avoid driving through the construction zone. If traveling east of Madrone Forest Drive on Idaho Maryland Road, residents may use Banner Lava Cap Road and Old Tunnel Road to access Brunswick Road.

Wings of Morning Drive area residents will need to continue using the Sesame Street detour as Wings of Morning Drive is closed to through traffic between Clipper Creek Road and the western route to Banner Lava Cap Road. The Sesame Street detour is available with minimal delays.  Please continue to watch for signage and equipment as construction equipment and trucks will continue to enter and exit from both ends of the road.  Turnouts are available along the alignment route allowing for passing residential traffic.
