Traffic Update 2/1/11 and Meeting Notice for Wings of Morning

Construction on NID’s Banner Cascade Pipeline project continues on Banner Mountain.  Joint sealing and testing will be underway inside the pipeline starting Wednesday, February 2nd on Idaho Maryland Road and Banner Lava Cap Road. Traffic will be limited to one lane; expect minimal delays.  Watch for construction signage and flaggers as they help safely direct traffic through the construction zones. 

Join us for an informational construction meeting Tuesday, February 8th at the Horsemen’s Club at 6:30 PM.  This meeting is designed to inform the Wings of Morning neighborhood residents of the upcoming construction activities soon starting in their area.  Additional meetings for the remaining neighborhoods along the pipeline alignment are being organized and scheduled.

Notice:

Flaggers will safely direct traffic through the construction zones.
Emergency vehicles will be given immediate access.

Banner Cascade Pipeline Project Construction Schedule 1/31/11 to 2/25/11

Join us for an informational construction meeting Tuesday, February 8th at the Horsemen’s Club at 6:30 PM.  This meeting is designed to inform the Wings of Morning neighborhood residents of the upcoming construction activities soon starting in their area.  Additional meetings for the remaining neighborhoods along the pipeline alignment are being organized and scheduled.
Banner Lava Cap Road to E. George Water Treatment Plant: To be
          determined.
Red Gate Road: To be determined.
Overland from Madrone Forest Drive to Red Gate Road: To be determined.
Madrone Forest Drive:  Restoration to be scheduled for the fall of 2011.
Overland between Madrone Forest Drive and the airport:  Construction and
restoration is completed.
Airport and Loma Rica Water Treatment Plant:  Construction is ongoing;
              however, activities should not affect nearby residents.
Lee Lane: 
·        The final lift of pavement and testing of the raw and treated water pipelines will resume in the spring.
·        Restoration to be scheduled for fall 2011.
·        Tie-in to Idaho Maryland Road to be scheduled.
Idaho Maryland Road, between Lee Lane and Banner Lava Cap Road: 
·        Wednesday, February 2nd, joint sealing and testing of the 48” raw water pipeline will begin. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic; minimal delays are expected.
·        Curb installation completed; the final lift of pavement will be installed in spring of 2011.
·        Installation of the treated water pipeline and the tie-in to Lee Lane is on hold until weather conditions improve.
·        Phase one of restoration, soil stabilization, is underway; the contractor will maintain slopes through the winter.  Phase two of restoration, tree and vegetation replanting, will be scheduled for the fall of 2011.
Banner Lava Cap Road, between Idaho Maryland Road and Wings of
   Morning Drive: 
  • Wednesday, February 2nd, joint sealing and testing of the 48” raw water pipeline will begin. Flaggers will be onsite to direct traffic; minimal delays are expected.
·        The contractor is waiting for weather conditions to improve in order to start on vault construction.
Wings of Morning Drive: Logging to begin in mid February.
Opalite Way/Snow Mtn Flow Control/Overland: Logging to begin in mid                      February.
Red Dog Cross Road, Lola’s Echo Road, and Oak Ridge Road: Logging to
          begin in March or April.
