Traffic Update 2/1/11 and Meeting Notice for Wings of Morning

Construction on NID’s Banner Cascade Pipeline project continues on Banner Mountain.  Joint sealing and testing will be underway inside the pipeline starting Wednesday, February 2nd on Idaho Maryland Road and Banner Lava Cap Road. Traffic will be limited to one lane; expect minimal delays.  Watch for construction signage and flaggers as they help safely direct traffic through the construction zones. 

Join us for an informational construction meeting Tuesday, February 8th at the Horsemen’s Club at 6:30 PM.  This meeting is designed to inform the Wings of Morning neighborhood residents of the upcoming construction activities soon starting in their area.  Additional meetings for the remaining neighborhoods along the pipeline alignment are being organized and scheduled.

              however, activities should not affect nearby residents.
Lee Lane: 
·        The final lift of pavement and testing of the raw and treated water pipelines will resume in the spring.
·        Restoration to be scheduled for fall 2011.
·        Tie-in to Idaho Maryland Road to be scheduled.

·        Finalizing culvert installation; no traffic delays are expected.
·        Final clean-up is in progress.
·        Phase one of restoration, soil stabilization, is completed; the contractor will maintain slopes through the winter.  Phase two of restoration, tree and vegetation replanting, will be scheduled for the fall of 2011.
Overland between Madrone Forest Drive and the airport: 
·        Phase one of restoration, soil stabilization, is completed; the contractor will maintain slopes through the winter.  Phase two of restoration, vegetation replanting, will be scheduled for January.
Airport & Loma Rica Water Treatment Plant: 
·        Saturday work from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM is possible; no traffic delays are expected.
·        Final clean-up along pipeline route is underway.
·        Loma Rica Water Treatment Plant structures being constructed.
Lee Lane:  
·        The final lift of pavement and testing of the 48” raw water pipeline will resume in the spring.
·        Tie-in to Idaho Maryland Road to be scheduled.

Nov 16 Traffic Update

Construction on NID’s Banner Cascade Pipeline project continues on Banner Mountain .  Work continues on both Lee Lane and Idaho Maryland Road .  Paving operations will be underway on Lee Lane 11/17 and on Idaho Maryland Road between St. Ledger Forest Road and Lee Lane 11/17 and 18.  Expect delays up to 20 minutes; watch for construction signage and flaggers as they help safely direct traffic through the construction zones.  To avoid waiting in construction traffic on Idaho Maryland Road , use Old Tunnel Road between Banner Lava Cap Road and Brunswick Road .

Dear Property Owner/Resident:

As part of our restoration for the Banner Cascade Pipeline Project, the District plans on replacing trees and landscaping that are affected by the construction.

You are invited to a meeting to discuss our approach for tree and vegetation restoration that will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2010 , from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Nevada County Horsemen Club located at Bubbling Wells Road and Brunswick Road .

This meeting will be similar to previous workshops in that it will be an informal open house which will give property owners an opportunity to review the restoration plans and specifications and provide input and/or get clarification from the District.

We have also attached these specifications and plans to this letter for your information and review.
